ANZAC Day Challenge 2026
Row 2504 metres this ANZAC Day
On Saturday 25 April 2026, take part in the ANZAC Day Challenge by rowing 2504 metres.
Built around the date 25/04, the challenge is a simple way to mark the day through movement. From the first rows in New Zealand to the final efforts in Western Australia, participants can log their result and contribute to a shared challenge across the day.
It is open to anyone. You can row on your own, with your gym, or as part of your club.
There are two simple ways to take part.
Option 1: Upload your result
Row your effort, then upload a PM photo through the ANZAC Challenge page. If your verification code is visible, your result can be counted as a verified upload.
Option 2: Enter your result manually
You can also row anywhere and submit your result manually through the ANZAC Challenge page. Every effort still counts towards the challenge.
The challenge includes live leaderboards for individuals, clubs, and countries.
Individuals
Track your own ANZACs and see how your effort stacks up across the day.
Clubs
Every result helps lift your club total.
Countries
Add to your country’s tally from dawn in NZ to dusk in WA.
2504m = 1 ANZAC
118 Cal = 1 ANZAC Biccy
That means every row can be translated into a simple shared challenge metric, with a lighter side built in through biccies earned.
The distance represents the date 25/04.
It is long enough to feel meaningful, short enough to be accessible, and simple enough that more people can take part, whether they are experienced rowers or just giving it a go.
If you would like to share your row, post a photo or short clip using #ANZACDAYERG.
Selected posts may be featured through the day to show how people across Australia and New Zealand took part.
Participation is free. If you are able, consider supporting the ANZAC Appeal, which helps fund support for veterans and their families.
